January 30: Water is down some from a few months ago, but plenty of access to the lake still. Been a lot of winter bass tournaments and even a few striper events during the winter months. Striper fishing has been good up at the north end of the lake. Fish the creek arms. If you are hardcore enough to launch the boat in the cold mornings you can enjoy a quiet, somewhat warm afternoon on the lake with little boat traffic to get in the way, especially during the weekdays.
