Open House

In this time of economic unrest, with high fuel costs, tighter finance policies, and the uncertainty about our country that accompanies every presidential election, I have to admit that I have been cautious about scheduling open houses in my listings. But the fact is that I have had relatively good results with my listings by holding them open.

This two story home with a full finished basement was held open recently, and I was pleasantly surprised with the traffic that went through it. Not just with the number, but with the real interest in the property. Most of the couples that came through were families with a need for more space, others were recent relocations to the southeast, and looking for a place to buy. They all were impressed by the space (over 3700 square feet), the price ($299,500), and the condition, and they loved the basement!

The traffic I got tells me that there are buyers out there, and they just need to see the inventory available, talk to a qualified lender, and they can find the home that fills their need, and probably buy it at a very good price. If you’ve been sitting on the fence about a home buying decision, give me a call, or email me, and we can talk about the advantages of being a buyer in today’s Charlotte and Lake Norman real estate market.
