Lake Norman Area Real Estate Trends

Here’s a look at home sales trends in the Lake Norman area. This chart shows the supply and demand of homes ranging in price from $100,000 to $250,000 for sale in the Huntersville, Cornelius, and Davidson zip codes. The chart reflects sales from January 2008 until the end of September of the same year. After a traditional rise in inventory in the summer months, we have a supply now about the same as in January. Home sales(demand) has been pretty steady all year, but obviously not strong enough to pull supply down significantly. Watch for my next post, where I will look at supply and demand for homes in the same area priced between $250,000 and $500,000.
